Breakfast didn't start until 6 so I spent most of that time planning my day and making sure I knew how to say "I'm not English" in French.

Breakfast consisted of a croisant and a bread roll... cereal was optional. It sounds great but after three days the sight of carbohydrates in the morning made my tummy hurt. I made my way via the Metro to Notre Dame. It was a good thing I was jet lagged and woke up early because when I got there there were very few people.

Notre Dame from the front

The church itself is quite lovely but it holds none of the reverence that you would have expected. It was noisy and there were flashes going off everywhere (that's photography flashes you sicko). Walking through I discovered things like fire blankets stuck to century old gates and cardboard boxes stacked up behind tombs! At this point I wasn't overly impressed with the place.

Ok so this is kinda impressive..

It wasn't until I took the tower walk that I actually started to understand why this place is so wonderful. Although having said that I am totally spiral staired out!!! The walk up the tower is fairly unexceptional (except for the pidgeon skewers - see below) but once you get up the top you can't help but give snaps to the builders.

The gargoyles are awesome. None of them are the same and there's even an elephant. My favourite is this guy, who's send to be eternally contemplating the changing city scape below... I think he just looks goofy!

The exact moment I fell in love with Notre Dame was when the bells started ringing. From the bottom of the church they sound quite dull, not very awe inspiring at all but when you're up there its incredible. The base runs straight through you and doesn't stop the whole time they're ringing. On top of this is a dischord of notes that are simply terrifying. It made me think of good horror movies but more.. biblical! If I believed in a god, I would cerrtainly have been experiencing the fear of him. It was incredible, its one of most favourite memories from Paris.

If anyone is interesting in seeing more of Notre Dame I went a bit camera happy so there's plenty to see....

After hobbling the 200 or so spiral steps down to the bottom of the tower (and then holding my head till the world stopped spinning) I went in search of the Arc de Triomph. Instead I found concorde and the champ elysse (no one is allowed to check my spelling on any of these). Concorde is this giant Egyptian pillar standing in the middle of a giant round a bout. From the middle you can see almost every building of significance in Paris. Its quite incredible.

Ok, more later.....

Fair Cop... (Paris Day 1)

In light of the dodginess of my last blog I've decided to make this one a doozie... so strap yourselves in for the most long winded, illustrated Kieryn rant you have been exposed to so far... ready?? Here goes:

When I left off I was flying over Finland and admiring the view. I arrived in Paris airport at about 10am and mosied straight out from the baggage lounge and onto the street. There was a rather curious moment when I wondered what happend to customs (in that there wasn't any)but I gave up wondering when I tried to read the signs to the train. Bastard wrote them in French, how inconsiderate! Turns out there was a customs... how I missed it I'm not so sure but if the Jean Reno comes looking for me, just say I died eating Camembert.

Finding your way around Paris is actually very easy. They've dealt with enough silly English tourists to have learnt that pictograms work best. I followed the little train pictures and voila, found myself on a train into Paris. I got off at "Gare du Nord" which is a major transit centre (all the Eurostar trains come in there). I decided it would be a nice idea to walk from the train station to my hotel. I would just like to point out that at this point I had been awake for two days straight, it was 27 degrees, I had luggage, a cold and a bung knee. I wasn't at my most smart...

Two hours later, after getting lost and stopping to beg directions from a lovely French man, I made it to the hotel.

Hotel Damremont - Monmartre

By this stage the bag's wheels were a bit wonky and I looked a mess. The concierge (not the one who asked me out) gave me one look, gave me a hestitant (but polite) smile and started speaking in English. How do they KNOW???

The room was actually pretty good. Came with its own bathroom and a great view of the fire escape....

The rest of the day is a blur but I can vouch for showers after two days of being smelly. It was the best shower I have ever had, even if the water temperature never got above luke warm. I know I bought lunch at the supermarket across the road and then slept like a rock until the morning (much like how I normally sleep come to think of it).

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://kieryns.blogspot.com/2006/08/fair-cop-paris-day-1.html' title='Fair Cop... "thats just the easy bit". Truer words have never been spoken, infact these words weren't really spoken either but non-the-less they were true. The 13 hour flight to Helsinki was pretty non-eventful. Although they did show Mrs Doubtfire... I was sitting next to a very solid Finnish lad who took up all of his seat and most of mine which forced me to over hang the isle which as all seasoned travellers know, is where you get bludgeoned by drink carts every half an hour. Needless to say, there was not much sleep happening. I think I drifted off for a few hours out of sheer exhaustion but I was quite happy to see Finland!

Actually I would't mind going back to Finland. I was sitting next to a lovely Finish woman (reminded me of Trish - Fairy God Mother) who told me all about Helsiki and the skiing (she was about 50 so snaps to her).

She wanted to practice her English for France (??) so we chatted the whole trip from Helsiki to Paris. She had been before and gave me a few pointers on what to see and when to go. After such a grumpy flight it was great to be able to chat to someone. Ok, more later....

Quickie

Hey there avid readers...

I made it to Singapore in one piece... that one piece may be ridiculously tired and REALLY not looking to another 16 hours of flying after the last 7 ... but one piece non-the-less. Miraculously my knee hasn't been much trouble at all (a slip on a wet bathroom floor agrivated an old war wound [read war as "skirmish"]). I didn't manage to sleep on the last flight at all, I was in the middle of the plane, no aisle, no window but as luck would have it, I had a spare seat next to me. Me and the lady on the other side shared it and stored all excess "stuff" as you quite often accumulate on planes (like pillows and blankets and ear phones and safety manuals and seat belts.. I mean... ah...).

Already watched two point five point five movies (watched one, started another and gave up, started a third and landed half way through it)... and I am REALLY looking forward to sleeping... sleeeeeeeeeeeep! Ok, heading off to the gate now, don't get called for another hour but I want to figure out my international roaming before I get to France (so I can send mummy a "I'm alive, call off the search" message).

I'll try be more conscious the next time I write... peace out and happy sleeping you lucky people in normal time zones!!! : )

Insert good name here...

I'm running out of names that imply that this is a catch up email due to extreme slackedness. So this is the part where you all get to be creative and insert your own. Audience participation and all that.

I have officially moved rooms (yay) and discovered that while the room is significantly greener, bigger and lighter... it has the pissiest shower head ever to grace this earth with its dribbling presence. Its one of those ones you come across in camping grounds where you have to spend half an hour getting the shampoo out of your hair and just give up on conditioner all together. I'm sure I'll get used to it and eventually wonder what I was whining about but for now, give me pressure, sweet sweet water wasting pressure!

Having ranted as such, it is lovely to be living with Alyssa again. This is our first official night in the house and we've already made a healthy dinner, done the washing up and bonded over tea... just how all girly houses should be. The nail painting and dancing in our underwear comes after ten thirty... PG rating and all.

We had a really nice day down in Newfarm Park on Sunday watching Mum play in the 30 member clarinet band. They're an impressive force to behold and the setting was just perfect. Imagine if you can a quaint little band rotunda amidst the towering trees with the scent of roses flowing across the grass. The weather was beautful and the food just as good. A lovely day all round.

It actually came at the end of a nice week too. After a grueling accreditation of the childcare centre Joe took a holiday and came to live with me for the week. The perks of having a stay at home boyfriend: a) dinner on the table (read coffee table), b) lifts to and from work, c) after being shut up for the day, there's eager conversation to be had and finally, hugs anytime I want them (while not at work.. my boss frowns upon random hugs during WHS meetings). It was fabulous to know that after spending a week with him we didn't want to kill each other... always a handy thing to find out early in a relationship! : )

Other then that, Travel plans are going... Work is passing by and life moves ever onward.

We had a family dinner the other week and it really made me realise how much I'm missing our old ones... and hence I'm uber keen to have some in the seas over. Can't wait!!!

Anyway, late night, work tomorrow, sleepy Kieryn... goodbye!

Photos

I've been hoarding my photos but its time...
First few were taken at Roh and Sar's farewell
Next were taken on Mt Glorious when we had lunch for Graypa's birthday in February...
And finally,our Mt Tambourine visit...

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; I get intimidated by the superb quality of the family blogs! ... but to be fair it hasn't really been ice ages between my blogs, only three weeks.. and I don't have a spouse to cover for me! *ducks* : D

I can't really account for my lack of blogedness, its been a pretty average three weeks although there have been a few points to note:
1) I bought PURPLE DOCS. This is the culmination of five years of yearning. They're beautiful and have Joe's tick of approval so they are now my newest favourite thing!
2) My newest favourite thing might actually be replaced next week by my new glasses. You see I've been having a fair bit of trouble seeing bus numbers and got sick of the grumpy look the drivers gave me when I hailed them 10 m before the stop. Turns out I'm short sighted and staring at my computer screen all day has sped up their demise... unfortunately I can't get contacts but the glasses are pretty narly! Black and Silver zebra print down the sides and the biggest bonus of all, I CAN SEE! It was really hard picking them out because after the first few pairs your eyes get all blurry from staring through the wrong lenses. I brought along the expert (Joe, who interestingly enough has never worn glasses in his life) and within ten minutes we had a funky pair of ridiculously expensive frames! It was about this point I started to wonder why I have the mong eyes and yet you guys (Ben and Roh) don't! Genetic roulette I'd say, but its only a matter of time. I was very sad in the lecture where they explained that two parents with glasses do not cancel each other out!... it'll get you my pretties and your little retinas too!

3) Dan graduated! YAY DAN! The next adventure is a year long honours project follewed by a PhD... crazy man! : D

4) ... um... no thats about it, I just felt sad that in three weeks I've only drummed up three points of note..

I'll be back when I've thought of something interesting... so next ice age.
Love you guys

ps. welcome Dad! You're number eight!

Mt Tamborine... HA!

This Sunday just past was Joe's 22nd Birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!) and to celebrate we went for a merry jaunt up Mt Tamborine for the weekend. Despite our initial dismay at the total lack of tamborines, we had an excellent time being tourists.

We were staying in a Scottish lodge that while incredibly picturesk from the outside (pictures to come) was actually a little disapointing. The house itself was lovely but the hostess (and elusive host) had filled it to the brim with tacky scottish memorabilia, scary looking dolls and outdated books (not the cool leather ones mind, David Attenbour books from when he still had brown hair). I may be a little harsh in my evaluation, I'm sure it would appeal to some... especially the plastic suit of armour by the stairs. The most disapointing part was the service. Our scottish landlady greeted us with a somewhat surly attitude. I think she was afronted that a couple so young would presume to seek residence in her lovely home. She took one look at the yellow demon (joe's car) and had us pegged as young trouble makers. Just to spite her I made an effort to be well manered and charming... that'll show her! To be fair, there were fresh shortbread biscuits and fresh towels on arrival so... hmm.. nope, still grumpy!

Mt Tamborine is a lot like Melany (... Malany.. Maleny... umm... you know where I'm talking about...)with streets full of weekenders looking for bargains in the galleries and craft stores. Ofcoarse being galleries and craft stores there are no bargains to be had... but that doesn't stop the hoards. We spent most of Saturday going shop to shop and ended a perfect day with a rainforest walk.

It was a great weekend and it was pretty hard coming back to reality at the end of it. Even harder will be the saving, its head down, wallet away until the end of July... so many shoes.... *twitch twitch*

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://kieryns.blogspot.com/2006/04/mt-tamborine-ha.html' title='Mt Tamborine... OMG!

Hello Everyone, for now everyone there is!! I've counted a total of 7 people who occasionally stop by and check out my blog, hazzah for blog spotting...

Originally I had hoped to get it up and running then announce to the world that I had joined my blogging family (my blog and its predecessor actually pre-date any brother / sister entries but this just points out how very slack I am so we're not making a big deal of this fact... anymore). So I guess now my entries should make sense and actually describe some things occasionally! Sigh, the lenghts I go to. Ok, so!

I BOUGHT MY PLANE TICKETS!!!!!

I took two hours out of my ever so boring Friday at work to mosey across the road to the Flight Centre. Together the lovely man behind the counter (a fella named Ben, though far less brotherly and not nearly as Ben-like) and myself plotted my way around the world. Thats right folks, Kieryn has a round the world ticket and will in fact be travelling around the world in thirty days!!!

He's my ever so impressive iternary (in brief)... Brisbane, Singapore, Helsinky, Paris, London, New York, LA, Sydney and then back to beautiful Brisbane! I'm actually staying over night in Paris, London and NY, the rest are either transfers or touchdowns... but I'll be there! It feels so good to have it booked and paid for!

The only challenge between now and then will be maintaining the savings but the closer we get, the more excited I am and the more I'm going to want to buy dodgy European and American suveniers... hence better saving. No doubt I'll be raving about this a lot more between now and the 30th of July, my ever approaching departure date so I'll move along.

I know I've already emailed these photos to their respective parents but I wanted to prove that Kieryn can be responsible... occasionally!

This first one is Roh and Sarah's Painting hanging in a lovely appartment. You can't see it here, but its actually quite a disasterous painting... but its big, and colourful and something to hang on the wall that reminds me of my family... so its staying!

This one is of a plant that Bronny's mummy gave her for... um... something important. About a month ago, this healthy little beast was not so healthy, infact it was brown and crunchy and to an eye trained in plant cultures... quite dead... BUT WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT!!! Look at the baby now, its gorgeous! Little bit of shade, little big of water and some quality love and prayer to the plant gods made it what it is today... a plant of size and proportion... whatever that means! YAY!

And finally, these ones are surprisingly not from a fancy dress party, but from my graduation. Kieryn and proud parents, Mummy and Kieryn in traditional party shot (love this photo) and Kieryn and proud boyfriend,Joseph! Love that photo too!!! Its the wonderfully dedicated partners, friends and family who'll sit through a graduation for you... love you guys *wipes tear*

I know these are a bit late (grad was on the 14th of Feb) but I've just figured out how to post pictures properly..... till later then... xoxoxooxox

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://kieryns.blogspot.com/2006/03/its-going-to-happen-omg.html' title='Its going to happen.... I do heartily apologise to my two (maybe even three) readers, the stress of actually having to get up in the morning, lean over to the keyboard and type has just gotten too much... or I could just be making excuses.

There was a bit of bad news since the last entry.

Firstly, John Fogs had a car accident last week and totalled the cute little green beast fondly known as Jeeves. He was a faithful and loyal companion and its very sad to see him go. The story goes that a taxi driver did an illegal U-turn. Everyone was ok, thank goodness. I'm sympathising with him entirely... poor fud.

The other news was that Peter Donaldson, the father of two of my close friends Ellie and Ana, passed away from a stroke the weekend before last. He was quite young and there was no warning at all. The small mercy is that the family were all home for the weekend and could be with him. Ana has just moved to Kingaroy and Ellie just came back from a trip to Africa. Mr D. was a teacher at BBC and was very involved in their cricket program, they had a big memorial service last Friday at the school. It came as such a shock, they're so young to loose a parent.

Other then the sad news, everything else has been pretty good. Work is still ... well... work. But thats just the time in between the rest of my life and as long as I can chug down the coffee its ok.

I've been spending a lot of time with Joseph. I had thought that living in a different city would be quite a challenge but we've seen each other every weekend and at least once during the week for every week we've been dating. Sadly I can't claim any of the effort as my own, Joe drives the hour and a half to see me from the coast... occasionally I catch the train up on the weekends.. but then he still has to pick me up from the train station which is now about half an hour drive from his place. But he doesn't seem to resent the effort so its working... it usally means that we're tired as all hell on Mondays but hey, its worth it!!!

I would just like to take this oportunity to apologise for all those who started feeling nautious in the last paragraph. Feeling good, don't wanna hide it!! : D ... ok, I have lots to write about but I'm in my lunch break and... well its now five minutes past over so I should get back...

"Sunshine Lollipops and Rainbows Everywhere.... " Sigh : D

Pensivicity

Well I think after the last few posts its time for something a little less pensive and perhaps a little more sober... note to all bloggers: a word of caution, if you drink then blog you're a bloody idiot - or at least you'll sound like one when you delve into your drunken rants and while it may be highly ammusing trying to figure out what the hell you were talking about, it doesn't paint the best picture of you and your life. Not that I'm speaking from experience or anything... curse you Ben Lee.

We've had a busy few days out Greenslopes way. The fun started on Wednesday night when we had a bit of an Australia day bash. It wasn't the most rocking party (child of the eighties, I can use rockin if I want) and I think the night hit an all time low when the boys decided to watch Orgasmo but picked up again when we started playing poker.

I learnt a new game called "one little indian" (I think) where you all get a card dealt to you which you put straight onto your forehead without seeing. Then after checking out what everyone else has you have to bet on your card... it may sound retarded and infact it is but the beauty of it is that when you're sitting with six other people doing the same thing you don't feel so bad. Can't imagine what it would have looked like from the street.... crazy drunkards!

The night ended pretty because we were all pretty sleepy and the atmosphere didn't change much in the morning. Happy Australia Day... was spent reading! YAY!

That night, Joe and I had a movie fest that included an old Batman movie made in the sixties. It was actually pretty fun, much to my amazement. The whole things was a satire of the entire genre which, considering when it was made, I really hadn't predicted. Did that sentence have too many commas? I can never decide!!

Anyway, that was fun and then the next night we had intended to see brokeback mountain and have dinner out somewhere but for some reason we never made it. Instead we sat around talking for hours. It was nice.

Then last night Lyss and I had a girly night complete with "three of the girliest movies the video store had". And girly they were, it was a nice night. There are some things that guys will never understand.. like the appeal of Disney movies. Although to be fair it did have Michelle Tractenberg so maybe they would have liked it after all.

Then today I went out to Su-ma and Gray-pa's place for lunch. Hmmmmm... mushrooms!!! So tonight after a very busy almost long weekend, I'm staying in, calling my Daddy and just chillin to the sweet melodies of Andrew Lloyd Webber... sigh!

: D

Right Angles

You can focus, but then you can unfocus just as easily. The colours appear exciting and yet the lighting is dull. The music has base that belts through the head and its only certain lines of lyrics that stick in your head. These repeat over and over until they're all you can think about. That's what happened with my last entry. Ben Lee's song Ache for You just kept going and going and going and the only way I could rid myself of it was to blog it.

And now its gone.

Ache for you

Its alright if you're undecided or,
if you're scared that you might like it or
if it's true, I ache for you

There's no rhyme and there's no reason
you're the secret in the back of my skull
there's no logic, so please believe me
our love's confusing, but it never gets dull

And yes sometimes it's just desire
another problem there you really don't want
but anyway, I ache for you.

And I'm so tired, of so much wanting
and what if, don't even think it
but why not.

I ache for you

Deep Breaths

Awake is the new sleep... so wake up!

That's my abstract thought for the day, thank ya Ben Lee. Although he does strike me as the rather hyperactive type who wouldn't actually have problems getting out of bed in the mornings. I reckon it takes a lot of will power to fight that feeling you get when your eyes are half closed and all you have to do is read over and bump the alarm for another ten minutes of blissful sleep... Hmmmmm Sleeeeeeeep! So while his little motto sounds good in hyperactive theory I wonder if he's ever tried it on a bad morning person.... and then you have to wonder how long it took his black eye to heal. Curse good morning people!

Pray tell, if there is actually anyone out there reading this who is a morning person, do you get up and have an upbeat catch phrase that you recite to yourself? I've heard that works...

Ah ok, well spontaneous resolution... tomorrow I'm going to wake up and tell myself "Kieryn, its a beautiful day, the coffee smells great and the world is waiting for you to get up and start your day with a smile, hop to it!"

...ofcoarse at 6am whole sentences become a bit harder to get out but I'll do my best!

And to all of you out there, I wish you a perky morning!!!

Updatepalooza!

Ok, I'll see how quickly I can catch things up... its going to be fun so hang on.....

Mum's still not doing well. She's been into hospital 3 times now and was verging on a 4th but for the fact that she's so over it she refused to go. Not the most comforting attitude for her family but I don't blame her, she's been off work since just after Ben and Bron left, late October. The operation went without a hitch, it was the pericardial inflamation, the diabetes, the pneumonia and colapsed lung thats doing the damage... and to top it off the fabulous cocktail of 22 drugs that she's on is making her nautious. Harah for drugs. Our thoughts are with her always, if I was the praying type, that's what I'd be doing but alas, thoughts will have to do.

*BREAKING NEWS* Just got off the phone and mum had a good day! She went shopping and made appointments galore... good oh! : )

Ben and Bron were having a great time. Limited snow and mainly ice on the slopes were making things exciting, so exciting in fact that Ben fell over on an icy patch and shattered his left wrist. To date I don't know if he needs surgery, he was finding that out two days ago but we haven't heard. Poor Ben, Bronny has to help him with everything. Good thing it wasn't his right hand though... small mercies! To read all about their fun check out their blog, Ben's a funny bugger so it can get quite amusing... http://bdphonehome.blogspot.com

Rohan and Sarah have officially left the country.... sniff.... and are holidaying for two weeks in Thailand, for an amusing recount of their adventures visit their blog... http://sareroh.blogspot.com.

As for me, I turned 21 years old and then crashed... quite literally, I destroyed my mum's car and almost killed my friend Tegan. Very exciting birthday that one. We both got out ok, were able to walk away from the accident with mild whiplash and some bruises... again with the mercies although this one is a big one. I'm happy to be alive to tell this sad tale... anyway, because it was my fault I'm paying an excess of $750.. for a while there I thought that might destroy my chances of being in new york in August but my brothers and sisters came through for me... bless their dear hearts... and gave me a travel voucher for the trip. Love those guys!

Anyway, I'm not telling these tales of woe for nothing. The point of this blog is to paint a contrast for you... of just how shit my last few weeks have been... until I made a rather happy discovery which sadly cannot be disclosed but for the first time in years I feel like myself again... so if you're listening, thanks!

Well we're almost done... I finished uni and got my 2a honours...whoot! Last minute assignments aren't all bad after all!

Ok, I think that's it... check out my msn space for pictures of Roh and Sar's farewell and some of our new years eve party!

The Real Dinner Party

Tonight we actually had a real dinner party that involved a party! It was dinner out at Guruvas in the Valley with some of the MSM ladies. They're a classy bunch these days, its an honour to still be seen with them.

Poor Sarah P. was waiting for her honours results and was in a bit of a nervous state, Tam had to run off for movies with her brother and Sarah M. was in Thailand. But other then that, it was a good night. Ellie brought along her boe, Angus, who plays the base in a punk rock band but is one of the nicest people I've ever met. They're so cute together! :)

I'm now sitting on messenger at some ridiculous time chatting to lost relationships. It's nice being nostalgic when you're lonely.

Dinner Party!

Well when I say dinner party what I really mean is that Tam is coming over tonight for dinner. But as she's been up at Mackay all week and I'm at the end of a very long week myself, I'm not sure this one is going to be a rager!

I've just been reading through some other peoples blogs and I've come to the conclusion that I'm just normal. There were times when I thought I was a little out there, maybe even sometimes strange, but no, these people really put things in perspective. So henceforth I am endevouring to be as normal as I can. If you're one of those people who roams blogs looking for freaky shit, then tonight my friend you are out of luck. I'm normal!

...was that normal conversation to have with oneself?

Dedication...

My Blogging efforts have been less than average I know and I apologise for all those avid readers who just can't get enough... bah!

Is it just me or does everyone get advertising comments in their blogs? There's always a nice lead in line like: "your blog is fantastic" but this is closely followed by "but so is product X, available in all good American stores". a) hate advertising, b) don't live in America therefore do not have access to bad American stores, let alone good ones! Coincidentally, Andrew if you find this ellusive product X, pick me up a dozen! : D

Well its been a mighty big month but fantastically, everyone has gotten through with better stories to tell and a stronger spirit.

For starters, my brother and his beautiful wife (Hi Ben and Bron!) left for Canada to live it up on the Whistler ski slopes for the season. They've managed to nab themselves full time jobs and a friend with a condo so they're set for a while. What happens after the ski season I'm not sure but I think they're looking to stay in the area and go back to their day jobs and be loved for their novel accents.

Closely after the incredibly teary farewell at the international airport, Kieran (male variety) and myself moved into Ben and Bron's appartment at Greenslopes. It is such a gorgeous place and it come complete with bowling alley and KFC within a 30 second walking distance. The best asset by far however, is the very pretty FOOZBALL TABLE!!!!!!! Ben used to kick my arse but no more my friends, this girl is getting practice... whoot!

Not long after that was a terrible week. Mum went into hospital for a surgery but had complications and ended up in the ICU for a few days. If you're ever trying to write a 3000 word essay about biotechnology clusters, don't do it in the hospital waiting room, does shocking things to the bags under your eyes. Mum (thank good doctors everywhere) is ok and is enjoying a few weeks off work watching West Wing and catching up on her cross stitch.

Through in a few fun 21sts and a laser force adventure and we arrive to this week where I start full time work at Coco's fruit markets as their Business Systems Coordinator. To tell the truth I've been working there for almost 5 years now but support office is a step up for registers to be sure! We're at Wednesday and I'm still alive and hanging out for my first pay check.

I'm finding that having no dining room table makes having people over for dinner a bit more tricky than usual. We did however, manage to solve this problem yesterday by having those vietnamise rice paper roll things. You set out all the ingredients on the coffee table and tell your guests to cut sick. Easiest mean EVER...good thing really cause I can't cook to save my life.

Anyway, its getting on to 11 and I'm a workin kid now. Think I might try walking to work tomorrow and save the earth from the ravages of my Sigma, poor things about to cark it so I think its time for retirement.

Catch you all later, hope all are well and hope to hear from yas soon.....

Ain't it beautiful?

Hellow again world, it's been a while since I visited and shared my ramblings with the you all. But never fear, we've had an interesting time between posts. For one, I've discovered Ben Lee. Now for all of you who are saying "dear god, that's so last season" just be aware that I tend to find music about five years after it's gone out of fashion so on this one I'm really quite advanced. Another is that the countdown for Ben and Bron moving to Canada is getting awfully close. It's one month away, almost exactly. I'm going to miss those buggers, farts and all.

I've also had a bit of an awakening. It's come in anticipation of moving house in another month where I intend of "tidying things up". I had a rather disasterous evening last month when I realised that my life had no meaning (I don't for that to sound so fatalistic, take it in the most literal way possible). There was nothing in my life that really effected anything. I've been pushing my way through uni and dating a guy because we enjoy the company. Both very enjoyable experiences but what for? I don't actually like learning about business, it's too immoral and I couldn't deal with doing it every day.

So that's my project for the next few months. To think about what gives my life meaning and why I haven't been doing them for the last few years.

Tradgedy

Awwwwwww Kate just left big brother! Knowing that there are moments like this happening all over the world and I'm never going to see them. There is just so much to see, so little time.

Well that's my contemplative moment over for the day, now back to the one dimensional life of a student. So much work, so little time! :)

I've been looking through a few of the feature blogs presented on their homepage and I've noticed that many of them have themes, or at least a common topic for the daily ramblings. I've been considering potential themes for this site. So far haven't come up with much. Maybe feature a different part of the world every week, do a review on it and list a few details. Maybe famous quotes, maybe featured friends... celebrities, songs, books.... hmmmmm! Any suggestions?

The very first one.... well...almost!

Hello world! Welcome to my second attempt at maintaining a blog.

Let me tell you a story.... Unlike most cases where blogs fall to the way side for more exciting ventures like PS2s, I loved my previous blog "Envisager" with a passion. I cared for it, I wrote in it every day and even braided it's hair with ribbons. Then one ill fated day I arrived at my site only to find it ravaged by the bloggers themselves. My blog was no more, it was "unavailable"... try as I might, I could not retrieve my beloved blog from it's pergatory. I did not let this get me down however, I stuck my chin out and started again on "Envisager the II"... only to find that after my first post I could post no more. This world is a cruel place that has no love for a girl and her blog. So here I sit before you all, a deflated being with only the slightest glimmer of hope that this blog shall succeed. It is my dearest wish that my glimmer will become a spark that will become a roaring fire sending out a beacon to all those who have lost blogs in the past. Let me lead them to a world where blogs do not have to die needlessly... this world, I begin today!!!!
