The Real Dinner Party

Tonight we actually had a real dinner party that involved a party! It was dinner out at Guruvas in the Valley with some of the MSM ladies. They're a classy bunch these days, its an honour to still be seen with them.

Poor Sarah P. was waiting for her honours results and was in a bit of a nervous state, Tam had to run off for movies with her brother and Sarah M. was in Thailand. But other then that, it was a good night. Ellie brought along her boe, Angus, who plays the base in a punk rock band but is one of the nicest people I've ever met. They're so cute together! :)

I'm now sitting on messenger at some ridiculous time chatting to lost relationships. It's nice being nostalgic when you're lonely.

Dinner Party!

Well when I say dinner party what I really mean is that Tam is coming over tonight for dinner. But as she's been up at Mackay all week and I'm at the end of a very long week myself, I'm not sure this one is going to be a rager!

I've just been reading through some other peoples blogs and I've come to the conclusion that I'm just normal. There were times when I thought I was a little out there, maybe even sometimes strange, but no, these people really put things in perspective. So henceforth I am endevouring to be as normal as I can. If you're one of those people who roams blogs looking for freaky shit, then tonight my friend you are out of luck. I'm normal!

...was that normal conversation to have with oneself?

Dedication...

My Blogging efforts have been less than average I know and I apologise for all those avid readers who just can't get enough... bah!

Is it just me or does everyone get advertising comments in their blogs? There's always a nice lead in line like: "your blog is fantastic" but this is closely followed by "but so is product X, available in all good American stores". a) hate advertising, b) don't live in America therefore do not have access to bad American stores, let alone good ones! Coincidentally, Andrew if you find this ellusive product X, pick me up a dozen! : D

Well its been a mighty big month but fantastically, everyone has gotten through with better stories to tell and a stronger spirit.

For starters, my brother and his beautiful wife (Hi Ben and Bron!) left for Canada to live it up on the Whistler ski slopes for the season. They've managed to nab themselves full time jobs and a friend with a condo so they're set for a while. What happens after the ski season I'm not sure but I think they're looking to stay in the area and go back to their day jobs and be loved for their novel accents.

Closely after the incredibly teary farewell at the international airport, Kieran (male variety) and myself moved into Ben and Bron's appartment at Greenslopes. It is such a gorgeous place and it come complete with bowling alley and KFC within a 30 second walking distance. The best asset by far however, is the very pretty FOOZBALL TABLE!!!!!!! Ben used to kick my arse but no more my friends, this girl is getting practice... whoot!

Not long after that was a terrible week. Mum went into hospital for a surgery but had complications and ended up in the ICU for a few days. If you're ever trying to write a 3000 word essay about biotechnology clusters, don't do it in the hospital waiting room, does shocking things to the bags under your eyes. Mum (thank good doctors everywhere) is ok and is enjoying a few weeks off work watching West Wing and catching up on her cross stitch.

Through in a few fun 21sts and a laser force adventure and we arrive to this week where I start full time work at Coco's fruit markets as their Business Systems Coordinator. To tell the truth I've been working there for almost 5 years now but support office is a step up for registers to be sure! We're at Wednesday and I'm still alive and hanging out for my first pay check.

I'm finding that having no dining room table makes having people over for dinner a bit more tricky than usual. We did however, manage to solve this problem yesterday by having those vietnamise rice paper roll things. You set out all the ingredients on the coffee table and tell your guests to cut sick. Easiest mean EVER...good thing really cause I can't cook to save my life.

Anyway, its getting on to 11 and I'm a workin kid now. Think I might try walking to work tomorrow and save the earth from the ravages of my Sigma, poor things about to cark it so I think its time for retirement.

Catch you all later, hope all are well and hope to hear from yas soon.....
